BEFORE WE QUOTE
START WITH THE RUNNING ORDER
Awards move quickly. Tell us what has to be covered before the first name is called.
The production needs to know where the next moment is coming from.
A useful running order lets us plan presenter shots, winner walks, acceptance speeches, audience reaction and any video or presentation material without chasing the event after it has already happened.
How does each award actually happen?
Tell us where presenters stand, where winners enter from, whether they give speeches, where photographs happen and whether anything else changes between categories. Those details shape the camera positions.
How many cameras do you need — and should one roam?
One or two cameras may cover a compact ceremony. Three or four angles can cover the stage, presenter, winner and audience without relying on one wide shot. A roaming camera is useful for winner reactions, audience shots and activity away from the stage.
Do names, slides, films or other presentation material need to appear online?
If the venue audience sees nominee films, slides or other screen content, tell us whether the remote audience needs it too. We can plan around suitable presentation feeds where available.
Where will the remote audience watch?
The ceremony can be streamed publicly, privately or through an agreed embedded player. If Microsoft Teams or Zoom is involved, tell us before quoting because secure, reliable venue internet is required for the interactive setup.
Do you need winner interviews, highlights or social edits afterwards?
The live recording can become more useful content after the event. We can quote for a highlights film, separate acceptance speeches, winner interviews or shorter clips for social and internal communications.
What access and parking does the venue provide?
Awards venues can become very busy close to doors opening. Multi-camera productions require safe on-site parking or secure venue loading close to the building, plus enough access time to unload, install and test before guests arrive.
THE LIVE PROGRAMME
Cover more than the person holding the trophy
An awards broadcast works best when viewers can follow the presenter, the winner, the audience and the wider room rather than watching a single camera wait for the next speech.
Stage and presenter coverage
Keep the host, lectern or principal stage area covered throughout the ceremony.
Winner walk-up and acceptance speeches
A second angle can be positioned to pick up winners as they approach the stage and take over from the presenter.
Audience and reaction shots
Reaction shots give the remote audience some sense of the room and can make the later highlight edit far stronger.
Nominee films, slides and screen content
Where the venue AV setup provides a suitable feed, presentation material can be incorporated into the live programme.
Private or public viewing
The event can be open to a wider audience or restricted to invited viewers, depending on the ceremony.
Recording, replay and post-event edits
Retain the full ceremony for replay or create shorter edits and individual moments after the broadcast.
AWARD CEREMONY COVERAGE
One event. Several useful outputs.
Live ceremony
Broadcast the complete awards programme to remote viewers as it happens.
Winner moments
Retain individual presentations or acceptance speeches for later sharing.
Winner interviews
Capture short reactions or interviews on site where there is space and time in the schedule.
Highlights film
Turn the strongest moments into a concise event film for promotion and future communications.
CONNECTIVITY & VENUE ACCESS
The technical plan starts before the doors open
For standard one-way streams, LiveU Solo Pro can combine mobile connections where suitable, reducing reliance on a single venue Wi-Fi connection.
Teams and Zoom are different. Interactive events require secure, reliable venue internet because the production needs a stable two-way connection. LiveU Solo Pro is not used as a substitute for that connection.
A roaming camera can add a lot to an awards night. Where the room and crew allow it, a camera on a gimbal can move through the venue for winner walk-ups, audience reactions and other moments away from the main stage.
Safe access is essential on multi-camera jobs. We need safe on-site parking or secure venue loading close to the building, plus sufficient setup time before guests and event staff fill the room.

AWARD CEREMONY LIVE STREAMING FAQ
Practical questions before the ceremony
Can the award ceremony stream be private?
Yes. The stream can be restricted to invited viewers or hosted on a private page, depending on the event.
Can you include nominee films and presentation slides?
Where the venue AV setup provides a suitable feed, screen content can be incorporated into the live programme.
Can Teams or Zoom be part of the event?
Yes, but interactive platforms need secure, reliable venue internet. We need to know this in advance so the production is designed for a stable two-way connection.
Do you need the venue Wi-Fi for a normal stream?
Not necessarily. For suitable one-way streams, LiveU Solo Pro can combine mobile connections so the production is not dependent on one venue Wi-Fi connection.
How many cameras are normally needed?
One or two cameras can cover a simple ceremony. Larger events often benefit from three or four angles to cover the stage, winner, audience and room, including a roaming camera where appropriate.
Can you create a highlights film afterwards?
Yes. We can quote for a highlights film, individual winner moments, interviews or shorter edits after the event.
What access and parking do you need?
Multi-camera productions require safe on-site parking or secure venue loading close to the building, plus sufficient access time to unload, install and test before guests arrive.
Do we receive a recording afterwards?
Yes. The live programme can be retained for replay or download, with additional editing available where required.
