PLANNING A BIRMINGHAM LIVE STREAM

Start with the venue and running order

You do not need to specify the technical package. The useful starting point is the event: where it is, when we can get in, what happens in the room and how the remote audience needs to watch.

City-centre loading, hotel access, conference-centre rules, house AV and secure parking can affect a Birmingham setup as much as the camera count.

CORPORATE EVENT COVERAGE

See how multi-camera coverage changes the programme

A live corporate event should give remote viewers useful speaker coverage, clear sound and presentation material rather than one distant view of the room.

Conference and panel coverage

Multiple angles let the live director move between a safe view of the room and tighter coverage of individual speakers, presentation material and audience questions.

HYBRID & INTERNAL EVENTS

Remote speakers, slides and private audiences

For company broadcasts and hybrid meetings, venue cameras can be combined with presentation feeds and remote contributors, then delivered through an agreed public, private or embedded viewing route.

Where Zoom or Microsoft Teams is part of the production, the venue must provide a secure, reliable internet connection — preferably wired Ethernet.

WHAT THE LIVE PRODUCTION NEEDS TO DO

The remote audience should receive a proper corporate programme

Cameras, audio, presentation feeds, graphics, connectivity and recording are treated as one production.

Camera coverage matched to the programme

Coverage can combine fixed, operated and roving angles. The number of cameras follows the programme, sightlines and crew rather than an arbitrary package.

Speech, slides and presentation feeds

Venue audio, radio microphones, audience questions, slides and other feeds can be brought together so the online viewer gets the information they need.

Bonded connectivity and venue internet

LiveU Solo Pro can combine mobile connections, with venue internet added where useful. The aim is to avoid making the entire broadcast depend on one connection.

Public, private and embedded viewing

The stream can be delivered to a suitable public platform, private viewing route or embedded player depending on the audience and access requirements.

Remote contributors and presenter-led segments

Remote contributors, presenter links and audience questions can be built into the programme where the corporate format needs them.

Recording, replay and later edits

The switched programme can be kept for replay or download, with highlights, social clips and other edits agreed separately if useful.

multi-camera conference live streaming setup for a Birmingham venue

BIRMINGHAM VENUE LOGISTICS

Venue access can decide the setup before the cameras do

Birmingham venues can range from city-centre hotels and conference rooms to large exhibition spaces, universities and business parks. Loading windows, security, service lifts, fixed house AV and cable routes can all affect the setup. For multi-camera productions, safe on-site parking or secure venue-controlled parking is essential because of the amount of equipment being moved in and out. An unsecured public car park is not a suitable base for production kit.

We can liaise with the venue or its AV supplier about camera positions, sound feeds, presentation feeds, network access, power, loading, parking and the time available to build and test.

Useful things to send early: venue contact, room name, access and parking instructions, floor plan if available, house-AV details and the event running order.

FROM BRIEF TO BROADCAST

Four steps before the audience joins

01

Send the venue and running order

Date, venue, access time, programme, audience requirements and any house-AV information.

02

Plan the cameras, sound and stream

Agree positions, microphones, presentation feeds, connectivity, crew and the viewing route.

03

Build and test before doors open

Allow enough access to check pictures, sound, graphics and the stream path before viewers arrive.

04

Run the programme and retain it

Switch and monitor the live production, then keep the agreed recording for replay, download or editing.

BIRMINGHAM CORPORATE LIVE-STREAMING FAQ

Questions that affect the production plan

The useful questions are about cameras, venue access, AV feeds, connectivity, remote contributors, audience access and what needs to exist after the event.

What does corporate live streaming in Birmingham cost?

Price depends on the event length, camera count, crew, venue access, audio, presentation feeds, hybrid requirements and viewing route. See the live-streaming pricing page for typical starting points.

How many cameras does a conference or panel need?

Two cameras are a common starting point for a panel: a safe wider angle plus tighter speaker coverage. Larger stages, audience questions, demonstrations or several presentation areas may justify three or four angles.

What internet connection is required at a Birmingham venue?

For a standard one-way broadcast we can use LiveU Solo Pro to combine mobile connections and add suitable venue internet where useful. For Zoom or Microsoft Teams integration, the venue must provide a secure, reliable internet connection, preferably wired Ethernet.

What are the options for a private company stream?

The programme can be delivered through an agreed private viewing route for staff, delegates, clients or stakeholders. Public and embedded streams are also possible where appropriate.

How are remote speakers brought into a hybrid event?

Remote contributors, return audio, presentation material and what the in-room audience needs to see are planned together. The exact workflow depends on whether the event uses Teams, Zoom or another agreed platform.

How does the streaming crew work with the venue AV team?

Where the venue already supplies radio microphones, PA, presentation feeds, screens, technicians or network access, we can plan around those resources. Early contact avoids duplication and identifies the feeds needed by the streaming system.

What recording is available after the broadcast?

The switched live programme can be retained for replay or download. Individual talks, speaker clips, highlights and internal edits can also be planned when the footage needs to keep working after the event.

What access and parking does the crew need?

Multi-camera streaming needs a realistic loading and setup window plus secure on-site or venue-controlled parking for the production vehicle. Height limits, loading bays, service lifts, security procedures and restricted cable routes should be confirmed before booking.
